The Specialization in Game Design and Development brings together students from Computer Science, Studio Art, Telecommunication and Information Studies and Media to learn the technology, the design fundamentals, the development, the history, the social impact and the business of digital games.

This specialization focuses on the role of Information and Communication Technology ICT in fostering economic, social, and environmental change in developing countries. Students in this program will gain a theoretical and practical background in the challenges and opportunities for deploying ICT infrastructure to enhance development.

The program culminates in a field-based experience where students will implement an innovative ICT project in a developing country as part of an education abroad program, or will execute a project in a rural region or an underprivileged urban region of the United States.
