You had to show up at a state-designated official GED testing site and take the four subtests personally. Recently, however, with the launch of an online GED test, that has changed. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can test if you are: Enrolled in an Oregon Option Program or Exempted from the school district where you live or 16 years of age and married OR legally emancipated.

How to register Registration is required. How long is the test? There are 4 tests: Science: 90 minutes Social Studies: 75 minutes Reasoning Through Language Arts: minutes, including a 10 minute break. Mathematical Reasoning: minutes How much does the test cost? Retakes must occur within 12 months of the initial attempt. You can re-take the test three times in English, two times in Spanish on the same subject without waiting. After the third attempt in English or second attempt in Spanish, you have to wait 60 days before trying again. Request accommodated testing If you have a documented disability and would like to request modified testing conditions, submit your request at on-line registration for the test through GED.
